FIELD GUIDE / SUPPORT

Metal Slug support and troubleshooting

Start with the guide for the issue you see. These checks keep the game and your local progress in mind.

The game is loading slowly or will not open

Keep the page open and let the initial download finish. Use a stable connection, then select Retry Loading if the game offers it. If only one title fails, try another title to distinguish a title download problem from a general browser problem. Restart the browser after saving any supported solo progress.

Avoid clearing site storage as a first troubleshooting step: it removes local saves, settings and offline downloads. Check the progress guide before changing storage.

Controls overlap, feel stuck or look stretched

Pause and release all keys or touches, then resume. Open Options & Controls to reset a misplaced touch layout or keyboard binding. For a stretched picture, choose Original proportions. To use the full width, choose Full width and position buttons as an overlay. See the phone and iPad guide for the complete layout steps.

If a button responds in menus but not during play, check the original game state: a character-selection screen, empty grenade supply, transformation or vehicle can change what an action does.

Sound is silent or incomplete

Tap the game and check the pause-menu Sound setting, device volume and selected speaker or headphones. Mobile browsers can wait for a user interaction before playing audio. Some converted sound effects are still being verified, so a missing effect does not necessarily mean your device is muted.

A two-player connection will not complete

Check that both devices are on the same reachable Wi-Fi or hotspot, both game pages remain open, and the host received the guest’s reply code. Create new codes if five minutes have passed. Allow local-network access when your browser or operating system asks. Guest-network isolation and some hotspots can block direct connections.

Try a different shared network before repeatedly retrying the same expired code. Bluetooth is not a supported transport. The co-op guide shows the complete invite-and-reply sequence.

Prepare useful feedback

Note the game title, whether you were host or Player 2, what you pressed and what happened. Include portrait or landscape and whether the issue repeats after reloading. A screenshot can help, but leave private invite/reply codes out of it.

You can prepare a small device summary below. It stays on this page until you choose Copy; it is not submitted or uploaded. It includes browser and screen information, not your saved games or connection codes.
